Introduction
Feixiao is a 5-Star Wind-Type character following the Path of The Hunt in Honkai: Star Rail that deals extraordinary amounts of Single-Target damage with her Ultimate. In place of Energy, her Ultimate revolves around generating points of “Flying Aureus,” which Feixiao gains when she or her allies perform attacks. Learn about Feixiao’s best Relics, best Light Cones, teams, and synergies in this Quick Guide.

Character Overview
Pros
- Exceptional single-target damage and Toughness DMG
- Strong synergy with existing follow-up attackers and buffers (Topaz, March 7th, Robin)
- Good existing Light Cone and Relic/Planar options
Cons
- Single-target attacks can be inefficient in scenarios with many enemies, like Pure Fiction
- Dr. Ratio performs a similar role, and many players obtained him for free
Playstyles
Feixiao relies on her single-target Ultimate and frequent follow-up attacks to deal the majority of her damage. She should use her Skill as often as possible in order to both trigger additional follow-up attacks and to maximize the team’s attack frequency.
Traces
Note: Trace levels shown are 1/10/12 (Basic ATK 1/6/7).
Trace Priority
>> >
Ultimate >> Talent > Skill
Feixiao should avoid using her Basic ATK, so it can remain unleveled.
Eidolons
E2 is the best stopping point for Feixiao. E3 and beyond are only stepping stones toward Feixiao’s E6.
Build
Light Cones
When using Feixiao with a secondary damage dealer following the Path of The Hunt, Feixiao should use the stronger Light Cone, given that Feixiao’s damage makes up a much larger portion of the damage in her teams than the damage dealt by any Hunt secondary damage dealer.
Note: Calculations done in a team with Feixiao, Topaz, Robin, and Gallagher assuming Feixiao with Duran, Dynasty of Running Wolves and 4-Pc The Wind Soaring Valorous.
Light Cone | Damage | Notes |
I Venture Forth to Hunt | ~120% | Feixiao’s signature Light Cone provides a decent CRIT Rate buff. On Feixiao, its DEF Ignore should always be fully stacked, as Feixiao launches multiple follow-up attacks in a single turn. |
Baptism of Pure Thought | ~116% | Not only can Feixiao be played in the same place as Dr. Ratio in follow-up teams, she can also use his signature Light Cone. Baptism of Pure Thought works very well on Feixiao, to such a point that it’s only marginally worse than Feixiao’s own signature Light Cone. However, Dr. Ratio’s Light Cone does require three debuffs to achieve its maximum effect, which is not achievable in some Feixiao teams (e.g. teams with March 7th (The Hunt) as the secondary damage dealer, or a Feixiao/Bronya/Robin team). |
Worrisome, Blissful | ~108%* | Feixiao can also use Topaz’s signature Light Cone. Her ability to launch two follow-up attacks in a single turn allows her to fully stack the Light Cone’s effect quickly. * Does not reflect the damage increase for allies. |
In the Night | ~102% | The CRIT DMG and CRIT Rate buffs that this Light Cone provides are good for Feixiao, although it does not buff follow-up attacks at all, making it the worst of the premium 5-star Light Cone options. It can be worse than Cruising in the Stellar Sea without SPD Boots. |
Cruising in the Stellar Sea | 100% | Feixiao’s best F2P option. The two below 4-star options are competitive with Cruising in the Stellar Sea if their conditions can be met. |
Swordplay | ~99% | About equal to Only Silence Remains assuming few or no target changes, and only marginally worse than Cruising in the Stellar Sea. The condition of “few or no target changes” can sometimes be difficult to maintain since Feixiao’s Talent follow-up attack can hit targets other than the primary target when triggered by an AoE attack such as Aventurine’s follow-up attack. |
Only Silence Remains | ~98% | About equal to Swordplay when facing one or two enemies. |
Relics
Relic Sets
Note: Calculations done in a team with Feixiao, Topaz, Robin, and Gallagher assuming Feixiao with Duran, Dynasty of Running Wolves and 4-Pc The Wind Soaring Valorous.
Relic Set | Damage | Notes |
4-Pc The Wind-Soaring Valorous | 100% | Feixiao’s “signature” Relic Set. Its Ultimate DMG boost effect is always active on her. |
4-Pc The Ashblazing Grand Duke | 97% | Although Feixiao’s Talent follow-up attack only hits once, Feixiao can still stack the ATK% boost well with her Ultimate, and the 20% follow-up attack DMG Boost from the 2-Pc effect remains useful. |
2-Pc Combinations | ~93–95% | Feixiao can use a combination of 2-Pc Relic Sets, including 2-Pc The Ashblazing Grand Duke, 2-Pc Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters, 2-Pc Eagle of Twilight Line, or any 2-Pc ATK-Boosting Relic Sets. These combinations are generally similar in damage, although it should be noted that the 2-Pc Relic Sets that boost DMG% marginally outperform the 2-Pc Relic Sets that boost ATK%. |
4-Pc Eagle of Twilight Line | Variable | 4-Piece Eagle of Twilight Line is an option for low cycle Memory of Chaos/Pure Fiction and low Action Value Apocalyptic Shadow clears, and can be an excellent option for E2 Feixiao especially, given her increased Ultimate frequency with the Eidolon. |
Planar Ornaments
Note: Calculations done in a team with Feixiao, Topaz, Robin, and Gallagher assuming Feixiao with Duran, Dynasty of Running Wolves and 4-Pc The Wind Soaring Valorous.
Planar Ornament | Damage | Notes |
Duran, Dynasty of Running Wolves | 100% | Feixiao’s best Planar Ornament. Feixiao and her allies frequently use follow-up attacks, allowing her to reach 5 stacks very quickly. |
Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm | ~96% | Feixiao pairs well with other units following the Path of The Hunt, making this set’s condition easy to fulfill for a free 12% CRIT Rate. |
Inert Salsotto | ~95% | Provides strong unconditional buffs to Feixiao’s main sources of damage. Note: it does not double its DMG Boost on attacks that are considered both Ultimate and follow-up attacks. |
Stats
Body | Boots | Sphere | Rope |
CRIT | ATK% | SPD* | Wind DMG Boost | ATK% |
Substats
SPD (Until desired value)* ≈ CRIT > ATK%
* The amount of SPD you should build on Feixiao depends on a number of factors: SPD-sensitive teammates (e.g., Bronya, Robin, other follow-up attackers), the number of cycles required to clear a stage in Memory of Chaos or the score required to clear Apocalyptic Shadow, or even the SPD of a specific enemy you wish to outspeed. In most cases, however, more SPD can only help you.
Notable Synergies
Supportive Follow-up Attackers
Topaz & Numby | Topaz provides some personal damage and a follow-up attack DMG Vulnerability debuff that nearly all of Feixiao’s damage benefits from. Numby’s frequent attacks also generate points of “Flying Aureus” very quickly. |
March 7th (The Hunt) | March 7th (The Hunt) can buff Feixiao’s SPD and CRIT DMG. Feixiao is also a great Master for March as her frequent attacks allow March’s Talent to trigger frequently, which consequently allows March to generate more points of “Flying Aureus” for Feixiao. With March’s second Eidolon, she can also provide further points of “Flying Aureus” for Feixiao through her additional follow-up attack. |
Moze (we dont have an emoji sorry) | Like Topaz, Moze provides some personal damage and a follow-up attack DMG Vulnerability debuff which benefits nearly all of Feixiao’s damage. With Moze’s E2, he also increases CRIT DMG dealt to the target marked by his Skill. However, unlike Topaz, Moze’s debuff uptime requires more attention due to its dependency on the Departed state. |
Supports
Robin | Robin’s strong partywide buffs and Action Advance more than make up for her low attack frequency. Feixiao’s teams typically include other follow-up attackers, and Robin is especially potent when paired with other teammates that can perform multiple attacks during their turns, since such teammates will be able to generate “Flying Aureus” even faster. Additionally, Feixiao and any supportive follow-up attackers she’s paired with can attack multiple times per turn to trigger Robin’s Additional DMG very frequently. |
Bronya | Besides providing significant damage buffs to Feixiao, Bronya can also help Feixiao take more turns, which allows Feixiao and her teammates to generate “Flying Aureus” faster. Since Feixiao and Bronya are both Wind-Type, Bronya can also use Penacony, Land of the Dreams to provide a small Wind DMG Boost. At E4, Bronya becomes an even more effective support for Feixiao, as the follow-up attack from Bronya’s E4 can generate “Flying Aureus” for Feixiao and also trigger Feixiao’s Talent follow-up attack. |
Sparkle | Sparkle has an Action Advance on her Skill, generous CRIT DMG and DMG% buffs, and generates Skill Points with her Ultimate. Although she cannot give Feixiao as many turns as Bronya can, Sparkle is still a good pick in the right circumstances. |
Hanya, Asta | 4-Star support options for Feixiao. Hanya and Asta both attack with their Skill and Basic ATK, and provide SPD and damage buffs. Hanya generates Skill Points for Feixiao, while Asta’s SPD buff is teamwide, allowing her and her teammates to generate points of “Flying Aureus” faster. |
Sustains
Aventurine | Aventurine is a perennial sustain option for follow-up attack teams given his strong synergy with follow-up attackers. His follow-up attack can generate points of “Flying Aureus,” and his CRIT DMG buff helps both Feixiao and any supportive follow-up attacker. |
Gallagher | Gallagher takes many actions, which allows him to generate Skill Points for Feixiao, trigger Feixiao’s Talent follow-up attack to deal damage and generate a point of “Flying Aureus,” and inflict debuffs on enemies in case Feixiao is using Baptism of Pure Thought or Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters. Gallagher can also use Quid Pro Quo, which he can use to quickly charge Ultimates for characters like Robin. It should be noted that Feixiao can always steal Quid Pro Quo procs (which do nothing for her), regardless of how many points of “Flying Aureus” she has. |
The Auto Button
Feixiao needs to press many buttons when using her Ultimate. Turning on autobattle during her Ultimate can help save your fingers.
Teams
Dual Damage Dealer
These teams pair Feixiao up with a follow-up attacker with supportive utility (like Topaz, March 7th (The Hunt), and Moze), a support with partywide buffs or debuffs, and a sustain.
The follow-up attacker provides Feixiao points of “Flying Aureus,” some personal damage, and a moderate damage increase for Feixiao, while the support increases the damage and attack frequency of both.
Example Teams
Topaz’s Vulnerability debuff is valuable for Feixiao, and her frequent follow-up attacks generate points of “Flying Aureus.” Robin provides Action Advance, a huge DMG Boost, ATK, and Additional DMG procs for the team, while Aventurine provides debuffs to increase team damage and follow-up attacks to generate more points of “Flying Aureus.”
A more F2P-friendly version of a dual damage dealer Feixiao team. March 7th (The Hunt) attacks very frequently with her E2 and personal Action Advance, allowing her to generate many points of “Flying Aureus” for Feixiao. In turn, Feixiao’s frequent attacks generate Charge for March 7th, giving her more frequent Enhanced Basic ATKs. Gallagher’s frequent attacks also generate “Flying Aureus” for Feixiao, while Bronya buffs Feixiao and allows her to take more turns.
A team that functions similarly to the ones above, except with two supportive damage dealers instead of one. Luocha can use Multiplication to act more frequently for additional “Flying Aureus,” or Quid Pro Quo if additional energy for Feixiao’s teammates is necessary.
A F2P team for Feixiao. March 7th buffs and attacks, Lynx sustains, and Asta gives the whole team a sizable ATK% buff and SPD increase. Lynx should use her Basic ATK as often as possible, as it is her only means of generating points of “Flying Aureus.” As with the above teams, Multiplication can allow Lynx to act more frequently.
Hypercarry Feixiao
Hypercarry Feixiao teams focus on buffing Feixiao’s damage using two buff-focused supports, with at least one support typically offering Action Advance so that Feixiao can take more turns to deal more damage and generate more “Flying Aureus.”
This team benefits from having a support or sustain capable of attacking frequently enough to trigger the follow-up attack from Feixiao’s Talent, although this isn’t strictly necessary.
Example Teams
Feixiao gets to act much more often because of Bronya. E1 and S1 Bronya are highly desirable for this team given the high Skill Point consumption. Feixiao may need to use her Basic ATK occasionally if SP gets too low — if so, it’s best for her to do so before Bronya Advances Feixiao, instead of after.
The classic Sparkle-Bronya duo works for Feixiao too. While neither Sparkle nor Bronya attack in this team, they accelerate Feixiao’s turn frequently and grant her very strong buffs. Gallagher’s attacks generate “Flying Aureus” and trigger Feixiao’s follow-up attacks. Feixiao’s A6 Bonus Ability comes in handy in this team, because Sparkle and Bronya do not attack and Gallagher can usually only trigger one of Feixiao’s follow-up attacks per two of her turns.
A much more F2P-friendly team. Hanya attacks on every turn, generates SP, and buffs Feixiao. Pela reduces enemy DEF and attacks with her Skill and Ultimate to help Feixiao generate “Flying Aureus.” Luocha and Hanya generate enough SP that Pela can use her Skill on every turn for a 2-turn Ultimate, increasing her Ultimate’s debuff uptime and generating “Flying Aureus” faster.
